Time to Give Back: A look back at the Unlocked Project 2019

Support Humanity and Hope this Holiday Season with your purchase of this Hope Lives in Us Refocus Band.

The Unlocked Project is our way to give back to the community throughout the year and this was another exceptional year of individuals and organizations that we are lucky to have collaborated with on this Project. Here is a look back at the four amazing people chosen for 2019 and the incredible organizations that 50% of the profits of their custom Refocus Bands will benefit

Kira Karlstrom - Born This Way Foundation

Kira is a former professional basketball player turned Emmy Award Winning Marketing and Creative Executive, who has survived cancer, chronic Epstein Barr and other personal and public challenges along the way.

She designed the “Embrace the Feeling” Refocus Band as a reminder that there is more to gain from facing your pain than fearing it. We hope this bracelet is a daily reminder that you are stronger than your emotions once you work through them and not past them.

50% of the proceeds of Kira’s band will benefit, The Born This Way Foundation.  This foundation, created by Lady Gaga, is committed to the wellness of young people and empowering them to create a kinder and braver world through community programs and partnerships.

Girls on the Run - Girls on the Run

THE FINISH LINE IS JUST THE BEGINNING.  This is the message that inscribes the Refocus Band designed by Girls on the Run. This non-profit organization was established in 1996 to empower and build confidence in young adolescent girls.  What started with 13 girls has grown to now positively impact over 200,000 girls each year across all 50 states and the District of Columbia. Since inception and with the help of over 100,000 volunteers annually, Girls on the Run has served over a 1.7 million girls.

The true success of the program, however, is not told in the numbers, but rather in the words of the girls who participate.  We were so excited to partner with this incredible organization and further their mission to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using fun experience-based curriculum that integrates running.

With the purchase of this band, 50% of the proceeds will go to support Girls on the Run.

Kate Fagan - The Positivity Project

Kate is a Board Member of The Positivity Project (P2) and is also the author of the New York Times bestseller, What Made Maddy Run.  She spent seven years as a columnist and feature writer for ESPN.com and ESPN The Magazine and as on-air talent for ESPN.

P2 is a non-profit started by two West Point grads and two Army veterans who wanted to change the dynamic among our youth. The mission of P2 is to empower our youth to build positive relationships and become their best selves -- by understanding and applying their character strengths.

The OTHER PEOPLE MATTER Refocus Band is a reminder of that crucial dynamic.  When we get caught up in our own stories, or start to feel like outside metrics are defining our self worth, we can look down and remind ourselves that relationships are what matter…that Other People Matter.

With the purchase of this band, 50% of the proceeds will benefit The Positivity Project.

Riley Fuller - Humanity and Hope United Foundation

Riley is the co-founder of Humanity and Hope United Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to empowering the people of Honduras through self-directed, sustainable change in infrastructure, economy, community, health, education, and leadership. They do this by partnering with villages to achieve sustainable change, focusing on the needs of individuals rather than a single issue or approach. This approach shows that hope can be contagious and when people invest their talents in making others’ lives better, hope will spread.

The HOPE LIVES IN US Refocus Band is extra special made by its price of $16.64. That specific price, is because we have created only 1,000 of these bands which means if we sell every single one of them, together we have been able to fund the building of one house in Honduras through Humanity and Hope.

50% of the proceeds of this limited Unlocked Project Refocus Band will benefit Humanity and Hope.
