5 Tips to Asking for What You Want

5 Tips for Asking for what you want and the motivational bracelet that can help you.

It’s not always easy to ask for what you want but YOU deserve to get everything you want out of life.  So, if not asking holds you back from that than the RECLAIM BAND is here as your reminder to push back the fear and get to asking!

Mustering up the courage to ask for what you want can be difficult so along with throwing on your RECLAIM BAND we pulled together 5 tips that will help you get what you deserve.

1.Tell Yourself You Are Worth It. Fear of asking for what you want can often stem from a lack of confidence or belief that you actually deserve it.  But I’m here to tell you that you are SO worth it. You are worth getting everything you want out of life so give yourself a much needed pep talk and get to asking!

2. Write Down What You Want Before You Say It.  Organizing your thoughts is always best even if it’s just something you use as a mental checklist when making your request.  Knowing what you want to articulate before you do it will keep you from feeling frazzled or like you aren’t sure of what it is you are asking.

3. Be Honest.  Honesty is the best policy. Be honest with yourself on what you REALLY want and where you stand.  It doesn’t help anyone, especially you, if you aren’t honest with your request.

4. Give The Person Time To Respond.  So, you mustered up the courage and confidence to ask for what you want and you want an answer...NOW.  We would all love that but I’m here to tell ya that it may take some time. You want an honest response right?  That’s why you should allow for some time between your ask and a response (just make sure it’s in a timely manner that is okay with you and them).

5. Be Okay With Not Getting Your Way.  When you ask for what you want, be okay with not getting the results you were hoping for right away.  If you stand up for what you want in a relationship, know that you will eventually get what you want, but it just may not be from the partner you expected.  If you voice what you want at work, understand that you will get what you want but perhaps on a different timeline or in a different position than you thought.  Don’t give up on asking for what you want but just be okay with it possibly looking different than what you envisioned.

Now get out there and get to asking for WHAT YOU WANT!
